Wigan man charged following disturbance

A 41-year-old man has been charged following a disturbance in Westhoughton.
Philip Lee Owen, of Diggle Street, Wigan has been charged with three counts of false imprisonment; threats to kill; two counts of child neglect;aggravated burglary, and sending communication threatening death/serious harm
Owen has been remanded in custody ahead of a schedule appearance at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on Monday 13 April 2026.
The charge comes after officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a house on Dicconson Lane, Westhoughton at around 2am on Friday 10 April 2026.
