Wigan 10K Run 2025: Join Wigan's Premier Run for Charity

The 13th Wigan 10K, organised by Joining Jack and sponsored by HW Moon Toyota Wigan, is set to take place on Sunday, 7 September 2025, starting at 10:00 am from Mesnes Park in Wigan, Greater Manchester. The event is open to all — from seasoned athletes to families enjoying a fun, active day together 

Early-bird registration is available for the first 500 runners at a reduced rate of £22 (£20 with the UK Athletics discount). Once that cap is reached, standard pricing kicks in: £26 (£24 with discount) 

This family-friendly race has grown into a cherished Wigan tradition. The 2024 edition (the 12th Wigan 10K) featured both the 10K race and a Family Mile, attracting nearly 2,900 ten-kilometre runners and around 580 Family Mile participants — from children to grandparents, creating a truly inclusive atmosphere. 

Over the years, the event has raised significant sums for Joining Jack, with the 2024 event alone bringing in £50,000 — the highest total since 2017 

Since its inauguration in 2013, the Wigan 10K has seen over 20,000 runners cross its finish line. The event expanded in 2017 by adding the Family Mile, and despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, even the 2020 edition successfully transitioned into a virtual format — keeping the spirit alive.
